thought i'd make a few comments on my vtg mdr that came in last week. styleforum seems to have bitten the cm vtg hard, good fits over there if you haven't seen them. day 1 (3 pix) stiff, holy fuck this thing is stiff. i've done the whole raw denim thing before, so i expected some chaffing/soreness, but man, you don't realize how much you move you're upper body until you're in (basically) a leather straight jacket. fit is spot on; i sent in body measurements and asked drew to crank it down and make it as tight as possible. there were a few places where you can tell the stitch had to be redone (little bits of glue), but i'm assuming that's because of the leather and it's stiffness, which, if anything, is truly a testament to to drew's sew-er's ability. if you look at any jacket and how the seams line up, i don't know how he managed to get the needle through four or more layers of leather, but damn, he did a good job on this. for the first day, most of the time was spent breaking in the sleeves helicopter-style and doing crunches trying to get the chest to loosen up. already i can tell the hardest part to break in will be the collar....
